Your Networth

Rs.

Net worth is the simplest single number that summarises your overall financial position: everything you own (assets) minus everything you owe (liabilities). It doesn't tell you about cash flow or income, but it does tell you, at a glance, whether you're building wealth or eroding it.

To use this calculator, list your assets - bank balances, mutual funds and other investments, EPF/PPF balances, property, vehicles - and your liabilities - home loan, personal loan, credit card dues, any other outstanding debt. The difference is your net worth as of today.

A single net worth figure matters less than the trend over time. Recalculating it every six or twelve months shows whether your assets are compounding faster than your liabilities are accumulating, and can surface early warning signs - like liabilities growing faster than assets - well before they become a larger problem.
